Birthday Boy Nate

Birthday Breakfast - Sugar cereal!

Some early arrivers to the birthday party enjoyed watching the huge truck and forklift that delivered our new roof shingles. Better entertainment than a pony.

Underwater fish party.

Ocean cake: Blue ice cream on a graham cracker crust with gummy fish frozen inside.

This year we invited two new friends to celebrate. I noticed a big difference between last year's party of 3 five-year-old boys and this year's party of 5 six-year-old boys. Whoo! Let's just say I'm glad the weather was fine and they could run around outside :)

A night flight with the new remote control helicopter--the perfect ending to a happy birthday.

For our family birthday supper the next evening Meg created this cute little table scape to go with our theme.

"I've been waiting for a fishing pole for about three years!" Hooray for Pappy and Mema. And thanks to the worm farm from Grampy and Grammy we've got the live bait covered.
Happy 6th Birthday, Nate!! We love you!!

  1. I can envision some memorable early mornings at the Chattahoochee with a father and his son and a new fishing pole. . .
