Grampy and Grammy came the weekend before Nate's birthday and we had a little family celebration. Thanks to Grammy for the cute airplanes on the cupcakes, and to Grampy for patiently helping Nate assemble (and reassemble) the erector set plane.
We invited Nate's two best buddies Ian (left) and Perry to celebrate on Nate's actual birthday.
Nate has inherited his Pappy and great-grandaddy Downing's extreme sweet tooth.
(I think Grampy Veerman may have also done his part.)
Erik took the boys to a nearby municipal airport to watch planes...
and play on the playground...
and roll down the hill.
A good time was had by all.
We love you Nate!! You're such a great boy!!
