Way Down Yonder

Well, I've lived in Atlanta 10 years and have just really discovered the Chattahoochee. I always assumed it was sort of a yucky, muddy urban creek skirting the city.
Actually, it can be really pretty and there are several parks nearby that offer access to the water. We cross over it en route to Meg's school every day. Most mornings it is covered in a picturesque mist. Then on the way home the fog has started to burn off and the water is a nice blue/green (unless it's just rained and a lot of red clay has washed into it.) It is deeper and narrower there with trees overhanging the banks. At a park a few miles from our house (pictured below) the river is wider and more shallow with rocks that break up the glassy flow. I think the kids will take to wading and rock-hopping pretty quickly.

(I removed a comment that I put in the wrong place)

I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Nate's outfit! My bet is that he picked it out all by himself!

Yes, we see this particular combo quite often. Must be one of his favorites.
