Our School Girl

We found out this weekend that Meg has been accepted into the kindergarten class at Perimeter Christian School for Fall 2008 (http://www.perimeterschool.org/). She has wanted to go to school for quite a while, but with a mid-September birthday, she just missed the cut off to be a kindergartener last fall. We are very excited for her and we're looking forward to joining this school community as a family. (The picture below was taken a few months ago when she went for her readiness testing.)

Such a big girl!! I almost cried when I saw the picture. She looks too old - not the little Meg I want to stay "little". Growing up too fast for her Grammy . . .

What a beautiful girl. I'm sure she will love school, but I know you will miss your big helper.

Are you crying yet?

I am. I've already sent one to school, I thought it would be easier with number two.

Andrew (another Sept. birthday) will be starting kindergarten this year and if I think about it too much I start to tear up.

I just looked at the school's website and I'm jealous. We have all day long kindergarten - five days a week. I'm glad you will get to ease into things a little more gently than we do.

What an adorable picture! It is amazing how grown up she is getting. I'm sure she will love attending school next year!
