Beach Vacation!

The first week in October we took a family vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama. It was nicely timed between the end of Erik’s old job and the beginning of his new job. We rolled in after dark and woke up the next morning to this beautiful view.

 

Played in the surf, sand and swimming pool.

 

Explored an old fort. (My parents joined us for a few days.)

 

 

Went shelling.

 

Took bike rides.

 

Discovered wildlife.

 

Celebrated Mema’s birthday.

 

Read.

 

Enjoyed God’s handiwork.

Kate’s Lemonade Stand

A late-summer heat wave was just what Kate had been waiting for: up went the lemonade stand.

(Actually, I think the high was 95 with 98% humidity.) I believe she did a pretty good business.
