Pool Time
Loving our pool membership again this summer. (And 2-3 hours of leisurely reading time per week for me!)
Our newest little fish: Caleb figures it out!

Butterfly Garden
Kate’s zinnias have attracted beautiful butterflies and birds all summer.
She and Meg even lived the dream of having real butterflies flying free in their room, with plenty of cut flowers around to land on and drink from.

Happy Birthday Kate!
Good morning birthday girl.
(Who would know that on the other side of those window shades is a Nevada Walmart!)
New cookbook for the enthusiastic baker!
Mac-and-cheese lunch in Idaho (or were we still in Nevada?)
Could this girl get any more precious?!
movie time: Mary Poppins
Thankfully this wasn’t a friend party year, as we were thousands of miles from all Kate’s friends. But we found a hot-springs-fed swimming pool near our campground and that made for a festive evening.
Finishing the day off right with the much-hoped-for red velvet cake. (Think what you will about Walmart; but when you’re in the middle of nowhere in an oven-less RV on someone’s birthday, it is nice to have a ubiquitous corporate giant that stocks your 7-yr-old’s favorite dessert.)
Happy Day, sweet girl. We love, love, love you!
